Just sent a jiffy bag by post , only small with a tweeter inside

2nd class £5.02

1st class £5.60

I assume the post office now only do one type of postal service ?

only 58p difference between the 2 :scratch:

A more reasonable structure would be

1st class £5.60

2nd class £ 4.00

I was told by a friend ex postal worker , the mail all goes together anyway

I have just sent 70 letters 2nd class and most arrived the following morning

there is letter, large letter, small parcel and medium parcel

if you think that is confusing wait till they privatise the post office

send everything 2nd class as has been said, they don't segregate the post it all goes for next day delivery as the depots don't have enough space and need it all clearing daily
