Why am I getting adverts on Spotify Premium>

I have been using Spotify Premium for a while now, I suddenly started getting adds between songs and I realised I was no longer on Spotify Premium, I guessed it was because my year was up.
I have just signed up for another year of Spotify Premium, but I am still getting adverts??
Any advice ?

Nothing surprises me about Spotify!
I had horrendous problems with it making my Squeezebox crash regularly.
