Bought from a member on the Wam a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic phono stage, but I'm trying to free up some cash for a new project :).

Info pasted from the thread...

Very nice condition, not a scratch on it, comes in the original packaging. No interconnects or manual, though.
Set up for MM but can be configured for MC cartridges with the internal switches.
The PSU comes with the Euro power plug but I will supply a UK adaptor for use in the UK.
The insulation on the PSU connector cable is a bit out as you can see in the photo... did not give me any problems, though.

£410 inc P&P (open to offers)

Would that be a Graham slee by any chance...;)

Well, the new project isn't the Graham Slee, I just wanted the Slee so that I could free up some cash for my new project... DIY speaker build :)

With regards to the price, yes this was purchased for £340 + P&P. Two things... I was watching a pair of Harbeth C7ES-3 on eBay, forgot to bid... They went for £600. A ridiculous price. Let's say hypothetically that I won them. If I decided a year or so down the line to sell them, should I put them up for sale for the price I bought them for? Or accept that I got a bargain and sell them for the price they deserve and command regularly? Which one would you choose?

I'm not forcing anyone to buy the Whest at my price. It was merely just to put it out there and wait for the offers. You know if I put it up at £340 off the bat, I would have got the silly low ball offers. If I wanted to do anything sneaky, I would not have mentioned that I purchased it from the Wam, which anyone could then of searched for to find the sale price.

Well this forum or any of the other Hi-Fi forums aren't ebay and people sell stuff on the Hi-Fi forums because there is no charge to do so however ebay and paypal fees can add as much as 15% to the selling price of an item bought on ebay.

My understanding has always been that if you bought something on any of the hi-fi forums or indeed any other forum that has a classified's section then if you subsequently sold that item via the forums' classified's then you offered the item back to forum members for what you paid for it otherwise inflated sales are seen as an attempt to profiteer which seems exactly what is happening here.

I note that you have currently not offered this item for sale on The Wam where profiteering is particularly frowned upon.

For the avoidence of doubt here is a link to the original sale on The Wam

For the avoidance of doubt? I stated in my original reply to you that I did purchase it for £340 + P&P.

Sorry to upset anyone. I will say that the price is £365 inc P&P. This covers the price I paid and RMSD.

Hopefully you can find it in yourself to forgive a guy who is only human :(. Try not to judge a new dad who put the price up by £35.
