Looks like a very interesting forum, my type of crowd, hence why I decided to join. I stumbled across this site when doing a Google search of either Mitsubishi or Revox vintage tuners. I honestly can't remember now. Either way, here I am! LOL
Looking forward to hanging around here for a while. ;)
Wecome Charles,:)
Nice of you to join us - the more members we have the happier we get - I'm a newbie myself but have been made to feel very welcome - hope you find it as rewarding as I have done.
Speaking from personal experience, if you have any questions to ask, or advice to give, or experience to contribute, please don't hesitate - all comments are welcome.
Might be worth your time finding out how to navigate your way round the forum - my only criticism is that (I find) it is not immediately 'user friendly' but rewarding when you get to where you want to go.
Cheers,
Dave.

Welcome to AOS CharlesT :)
Thanks for deciding to join our community. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask any of the admin team.
WE are a fairly nosy lot here so I hope you don't mind if I ask what items make up your system ? What kind of music do you like ? and maybe you might like to post some pictures of your set up in the Gallery section.
Regards D S D L :)

Thank the both of you for the warm welcome. I'm pretty familiar with the "forum life" as I belong to a bunch of them, some for over 5 years now! Anywho, I'm sure I'll manage getting around. :)
D S D L, I was going to post in the Gallery section last night but it was somewhat late and I kept waking up with the keyboard inches from my face! LOL
As for my system, I have two actually, a small 2-ch bedroom system and a 7.1 theater system out in the family room. However, since this forum is geared mostly towards 2-ch which i prefer, I'm only going to be talking about the bedroom system.
My system consist of a KingRex preamp (an extremely nice little piece), a Pioneer Elite PD-D6-J 2-ch only SACD/CD player, a newly acquired Yamaha TX-540 tuner <-- the main reason for joining here, a DBX AC-22B active 2-way crossover, AudioSourse AMP100, an original Sonic Impact T-amp, a pair of highly modified 4" Fostex FE126E drivers (Planet10 HiFi FE126eN) with the full EnABLe process, and a pair of 8" Vifa P21WO20 drivers to fill the bottom end.
I'll go into much greater detail in the Gallery section later today though. For now, in here, I'll just post a hint of the system. A teaser if you will. ;)

Hi Charles,
I was going to say,I dig the enabled Fostex's in your avatar, but you beat me to it in describing your system.I have a pair of Fe167e's in MLTL cabinets,in fact they belonged to the designer,a guy called Scott, who designs speakers for Dave at planet10 amongst others.Great sound for budget cones. What cabinet do you have yours in?

Hello!
Yes, I know and have spoke with Dave, Scott and Chris a number of times via emails and the DIY forum. They are a bunch of great guys that definitely know their stuff!

Again, Hi.
Hi again Steve! Yes, those guys are true gents, but don't forget about ChrisB. He's one too. And yes, us "EnABLed" single driver guys need to stick together! :pub:
