View at 8:20 last night

This was the view I had last night after taking off from this deserted airstrip close to home.
I was at about 700 feet and then had a very nice 46 minute flight bimbling around (aeronautical term) the local area.

'Bimbling'.. You really do learn something new every day.



To wander in a happy but slightly disengaged state, though with some harmless or ineffective intent. A certain business is implied. bimble (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bimble) Often used in British Army
Chickens aren't usually bimbling, but a mother duck and a line of ducklings crossing a road and heading into fields probably are. A duckling that breaks away from the group, explores busily and then returns has just had a bimble.

In the Sahara miles from anywhere, a guy walked out of the midday haze carrying nothing but a piece of wood, passed by 50 yards away without looking at us, and headed into the heat. Now HE was bimbling.



Its nice to know that Alan is right up there with the ducks.

Aye - 24 hours if you're flying the commercial hardware, but 8 hours for pleasure craft.

I know that's partly in jest Martin, but the wonderful thing with flying a paramotor is that you are flying slowly. You can fly at a foot off the ground or 3000 feet.

It's magic to come in really low over a wheat field and smell the wheat, I adore low flying just skimming the treetops.
