There's something about the light in Scotland (esp. in the winter) that makes a photographers job a little easier.

(There's something about the heavy in Scotland too, but that's a whole different pot of pisces and nothing to do with the steady hand that's required for photography!)

I agree about the light, it is magical. The first few photos including Dunkeld were taken last March the rest last August. I have more, but I don't want to bore folks with photos of Scotland overkill. ;)

Great pictures, Neil! I lived in Scotland for most of my life so I know how beautiful it is, too :)

I hope you don't mind me correcting your spelling of "Broughty Ferry" ('g' not 'c') - you were nearly right ;)

Have you been to any of the islands up north (Syke, Orkney, etc)? The scenery there is REALLY stunning!

Marco.

No problem...I figured if it was wrong, you would correct it. We discovered Broughty Ferry last year just drove through Dundee and there it was a wee treasure...one of the most beautiful sea side villages. Classy and not tacky. And the beach is stunning.

No alas we have not done the west coast or the Islands yet, farthest North we have been is Dunrobbin Castle...past Inverness. We will do the islands and west coast at some time in the future....got as far as Inverarry once...took a wrong turn and ended going up Loch Long.:doh::doh::(
