View Full Version : CD Cleaner
I have always been dubious about using CD cleaning machines, but thought I'd punt for one of these to try it out;

I have to say that I am super impressed. I have an album which has caused me nothing but trouble, however I tried to clean it, I just couldn't get it to stop skipping on one of the tracks and it had what looked like a 'deeper' scratch in it.
So using this CD cleaner in 'deep scratch mode' and then onto 'cleaning mode' it appears to have done the trick.. No more skipping :)

I use this . . . never let me down yet :)

Seriously??
Yup, I buy a lot of second-hand CD's from Amazon Marketplace and also charity shops, some of the charity shop ones can be badly scratched but with some elbow grease and T-Cut and I've never yet failed to bring one back to life, unless the scratch has gone through to the dye, which nothing can repair. I used to use Brasso, but T-Cut has proved faster.
Very interesting... well I am happy with my new toy... I have been buying a lot of CD's from That's Entertainment (http://thatsentertainment) recently and a few have arrived needing work... What I like a lot about them though is two albums have arrived and I couldn't get them to work at all and they simply said to trow them away and they'd send new ones :)

OK so now I'm after a bottle of this as I archive my collection.
