I/C Technics 1210 Direct Drive Turntable & 1200

I have a friend who has the above turntable's

I believe the 1210 not to have a cartridge/headshell, if that's what its called as I know nothing about turntables, it apparently also has a slight dent in the arm

I'm not sure the 1210 has the plastic lid or rubber mat on the turntable either

Are these worth anything or shall I get him to take them to the local charity shop instead?

No I don't want an auction and I'm not even certain what sort of money he's thinking of at all yet. If someone can give me an idea of their worth that would be great

£10 each :eyebrows: so that's £20 more than a charity shop ( if they will take them without a PAT Test certificate ) , RESULT :D

Best stick them on ebay and let the nation decide the worth ;)

A working SL1210 (motor and undamaged arm) is probably around £250 depending on condition. This one will need to take into account the dent in the arm.

With the arm being dented there's more than an implication the rest of the deck has been handled roughly, which means more needs to be spent bringing it up to snuff, and consequently £250 might well be an overly optimistic valuation.
Detailed pictures of both decks are required to be honest.
