I have an upgraded VP1 pre with the superb mm phono stage in black and matching Quintet Mk1 power amp for sale or swap.
The Quintet has the option to switch between Triode and Ultra Linear and also to adjust the feedback to allow matching for speakers. Approximately 15 watts in Triode and 25 Ultra Linear.
Both amps in excellent condition with a mix of Mullard, Siemens and Golden Dragon valves.
Pics below - pre with lid off to show upgraded caps.
Reason for change - I've moved system into a bigger room and am using 85db speakers now so I think I need a bit more oomph for rock at high levels.
I tried an AudioNet integrated but it couldn't compete in terms of soundstaging or vocal reproduction.
I've been offered £1400 as a trade in for both pieces so would sell at this price plus postage although collection preferred.
I'd also be interested in a swap eg Leema Acoustics Tucana 2, Musical Fidelity Tri Vista 300 integrated or similar, why?

Art Audio replaced 6 large power supply caps, 4 bias caps, 2 driver caps and 4 bias resistors in May 2012 at a cost of £279.60.
Tom at Art advised that parts alone for the Quintet would now cost well over £2k to buy!
Cheers
