Hi All,

Not sure I have a lot here to say as I am no expert in the field of audio, but my father was most definitely which is the reason I have signed up to this site as I have a pair of Tannoy Lancaster 15” that I am selling on his behalf.

So I hope people don’t mind me signing up to place an ad on here as I know he would prefer it to go to someone who would appreciate the quality of these speakers. Apologies if this is not appropriate for this site if someone can let me know either way.

Welcome to AoS. No-one here is expecting you to be an 'expert' in the field of audio. All we ask, and assume, is that you are a lover of music; and by way of enjoying the music, have some interest in the 'art' of replay.

What we do take a dim view of here, is those members who join simply in order to sell something. I'm sure you are not one of those.

Please tell us something of your musical tastes and of the system by which you enjoy your music.

Hi Barry,

If I had to say a particular type of music then I am a house/electro house fan. With regards selling my dads Tannoys then probably best if I remove the ad I have put up and just put them on ebay as I don’t think I will have much to contribute to the forum, especially as what I listen to my music on would probably be blasphemy for 99.9% of people on this forum.

Here of AoS we recognise that all types of music are valid and members have as much variation in musical tastes as there are members themselves. I can't imagine anyone regarding any music style as "blasphemous". :eek:

Please stay and engage with the forum - you can tell us about house/electro music in the Thread "Spinning Today ...".


I see no reason why you shouldn't restore the adverisment for your father's Tannoys. It would offer an additional opportunity for a sale.
