Re Isotek Multi-way in MCRU advert in Trade Impressions

I have noticed the advert MCRU put in the Trade Impressions section. The 6 way IsoTek Orion sells for £695, the now discontinued Multi-Way as in the photos sold for £249 back in the day. It was a well made distribution block but I question the value of a battered and bruised sample selling for £150.

My point was that the inference that the item originally cost £695 and was now on offer for £150 could be construed as misleading. A point that seems to have hit a nerve.
Disappointing from a company that has always had a good reputation.

Misleading saying original price £695 now £150 battered and bruised. Original price was in fact £249 now £150 battered and bruised, not such a bargain.

I might be biased, but to me "I think a similar one sells for £695 new but this is an older version so £150 delivered in the UK. " is clear.

Why has the new version gone from £249 to £695 ? should be the question. This price hiking by hi-fi companies is really annoying me. The 'Lets price ourselves out of the recession to compensate for falling sales' mentality. A bashed up old one should be worth about £50 cause I like used gear to be in well cared for condition. So there's one shot at Isotec and one at MCRU for you all.

Ahah, that's the point the £695 is not the same as the £249 one. Look at the photo, it is very clear that there are three models that IsoTek made in the same casework, clearly marked.

I must admit I'm getting truly bored with this. I did not want to make it personal, merely pointing out a discrepancy. MCRU answered originally with "Don't buy it then" which at the end of the day is fair enough.
