All of Joni's best material, I picked it up a while ago, lovely collection. Highlights for me are "Blue", "Hejira", "Ladies of the Canyon" & "Court and Spark".

I've already got Blue and I'm not sure I entirely like the rest of her stuff :(

'Court & Spark' is the next best thing to 'Blue' - better in some respects.

Rats.

I have all her albums already. How am I going to save all that dosh now??

We all have our favourites no doubt. Hejira for me, her bass playing man (later husband I think) really bought a jazz influence and the whole thing rocks - favourite track is Amelia.

Every one a gem though. Some need to be mulled over at length to get the most from them.

Love that Hejira had Jaco Pastorius on bass, arguably the best bassist ever, albeit more restrained with Joni Mitchell.

Yes Amelia is my favourite song on Hejira... "It was just a false alarm."

Yep. Hejira was Pastorius on Bass. Her bass-playing husband was Larry Klein and you'll need to fast-forward to Wild Things Run Fast to hear him.

Sitting in a pub in Manchester after a hot and sticky busy day with a bag full of vinyl that includes Joni's Ladies of the Canyon lp.

Cheers,
Keith

Aha, I stand corrected. Bloody good bass playing though, whoever:)

Cool, I was doing very similar a few hours ago with my lunch break, albeit with MJ Cole & Roni Size CDs from HMV on Market Street.
