Does anyone have views on either the blue horizon or michell tender cups, is one better than the other Thanks John

I've got blue horizons and they're very good, really tightened up the whole sound of my speakers. Can't compare them to the others you mentioned but mine aren't going anywhere!

They are spike cups, how on earth can you judge any difference between any :scratch: I have Michell 'Tendercups' because i have 'Tenderfeet' no other sound reason but to match!

Just the same as changing any other component can affect your sound.

Just to proove im not a nutter, i've sat my amp on a piece of granite, pointed feet fitted {points down} sat in cups.Then i removed the cups & guess what! I cannot hear a single bit of difference with & without. ;)

Something else you can use, which will cost you the grand sum of 4 pence, is 4 pennies, one under each spike. Works just as well as any expensive gizmo I have used and there is an upgrade path - 2 pence pieces...:lol:

Quite agree.

My TT has spikes that are located on rubber mounts with an old sixpence that has a small indent drilled right on her majesty's face. No doubt against the law but it works just fine and there is no sideways movement or rattling.

You could of course go straight to the holy grail.

Use £2 coins, and by the nature of the fact that these sit at the very pinnacle of coinage, they have to be better. :)

Actually they're probably worse, given that the centre is a different metal, it might have room for tiny vibrations.

Real spike shoes have a dimple in the top, so surely the answer is that you stack two coins by gluing together a 2p piece with a vintage NOS Chinese coin on top to prevent the spike from slipping off......?
