At last. Apologies for not reading every post, but if I've got it right this is mostly a bunch of whinging poms complaining about a slight thaw. TOO RIGHT it's bloomin hot. It is here (Frejus). 32 degrees earlier. You whiteskins might like it taters, but I like a bit of proper current bun, and am soaking it up right proper for the next 4 weeks. Cheers :cool:

Well it certainly is and has been. Earlier, I had to drive all the way round the South Circular Road from south east London to west London in 30C temperatures in a roasting hot car, the traffic was truly terrible and it took me two and a half hours to cover the 25 miles. Absolute murder, felt sick by the time I got home!

Yep - today has been a bit of a bitch! Stayed indoors mostly, but had to go out to do a bit of shopping. Despite wearing light cotton clothing designed for hot climates (i.e. my travel clobber for such countries), even though I was only out for about 45mins, 15 of which was in a nice air-conditioned supermarket (pache Marco), I returned home running with sweat; necessitating another shower!

Tomorrow is not going to be any better.

In Portsmouth we have just had the biggest storm I've seen in years

It was chucking it down and sooo much thunder and lightening.... magic.... it's cleared the air a bit too.... nice

But I love my heat so I hope it's sunny again tomorrow, though it's not looking good :D

39 degrees in the shade, in the mountains. Even I am struggling with my undertaking never to complain about too hot - but determined to succeed. Lovely - albeit definitely refreshment weather :cool:

No Heating yet Paul , however the windows are now closed the jumper is on and a change from a thin bed cover , now a medium thickness Duvet Covers
Not looking forward to 6 months or more of grim weather
