OK I'm biased

and a bit excited.

And it was designed by a mate, and I probably have my beer goggles on.

And its a LONG time since I heard a really good power amp.

And doubtless you lot would tell me I should leave it on regulo 5 for a month or two before forming an opinion. And I did suffer the embarrassment of it blowing the 3 amp fuse in my mains lead.

But Mrs S came in, listened for 10 minutes (I think was also persuaded by the pretty looks) and said "you're going to have to buy it off him".

There is the tiny complication that its not for sale at any price. So I'm going to have to get someone to build me one .

That is the best power amp I have ever heard. Even blows out the temperamental and unreliable (and never launched) Pop 1

I've no idea what the circuit is. We did sort of discuss it on a windy beach in Norfolk, but more the power supply he now plans to use. I intend to find out though.

A common base power handling design, wooooh.
That's normally the preserve of very high frequency RF amplifiers. Sounds pretty special to me;)
