[FS] Triangle Antal ES

Hi everyone,

Time has come to maybe make a little room at home...
Since I have adopted Puffin's (rob) horn's, the Antals have been stored safely... And by the sound of (them the horns), they will not get used in the near future, so I am offering these for sale. I would rather see them going to a good home than being stored away.

These speakers feature the renowned Triangle TZ2400 tweeter (titanium diaphragm), developed for the Esprit range.
They are fantastic with a very wide range of amplifiers, but their high(ish) sensitivity makes them great partners for Valves amplifiers.
I have used them with low 18W SET 845tubes amps to brilliant effect. The previous owner used them in a full Naim setup and they sounded great too!

I am the second owner, and they have always been used in a smoke, pet, kids free environment. They are around 6 years old, but never been abused. I check the crossover and wiring, and all is good inside.

I need to point out that the grilles are a little tatty, but otherwise the speakers are in A1 condition. They don't come on second hand market very often, so don't miss a rare opportunity...

These are seriously good speakers and work very well with valve amplifiers say 25 watt upwards, among the last Triangles that were open detailed and fast without being bright or forwards.

The next version - ex - was heading the wrong way back to the old Triangle sound which I didn't much care for but these and the little Titus Es are lovely imho.

Anyone interested?

I had the same speakers a few years ago and they are seriously good in stock form. Take out the voltage limiters and upgrade the ceramic white "coffin" resistors on the crossovers and the performance leaps ahead some more by no insignificant amount. They like valves and equally handle big power amps too, placement isn't fussy either and they really are good all round speakers. Mine didn't have the spiked plinths and wish that they did.
