For sale here I have a very rare opportunity to buy a TEAC VRDS-10 with matching D-T1 DAC.

The 10 is a decent enough spinner in its own right, but when you add the D-T1, there is an explosion in dynamics, bass weight and definition.
And yes, the legendary VRDS build quality is there in spades.

I bought these whilst my regular cdp was out of action, and simply don't have the room to keep them anymore!

As you can see, both units are in really excellent cosmetic condition with a few very minor marks - no dents or scrapes at all.
They both perform flawlessly and the cdp reads discs very quickly and quietly indeed. Includes original full-function remote control and a co-axial cable if you need one.

Price is a rock-bottom £380 for the pair - no offers please. Collection from Highgate, London N6.

I would much prefer collection. Sending at cost is a possibility but this will be at buyer's risk. The total packed weight of these two beasts is around 20kg.

Julian,

If I had the money I'd snap it up, always wanted a VRDS machine (although wasn't personally a fan of the tray which seemed a little flimsy!) but unfortunately wifey believes that getting the decorating done in the house is more important.... woman just don't get it!!! LOL

Paul.

You do sometimes need to find the right moment to introduce a new purchase to the household, and that doesn't sound like the best timing

If anyone 'up North' would like the VRDS-10 but doesn't trust a courier, I'm going to be in Manchester for 10 days or so from July 27 and could easily bring it with me if you can collect ...
