Ace Wire, any one heard of them?

A couple of years ago i was looking for a couple of interconnects for my second ststem. I didn't want to spend the earth so i was looking for second hand cables on the auction site who's name we dare not speak. I came across a company/individual/business called Ace Wire who were selling beautifully made IC'c for what amounted to a pittance. At that time i had some Kimber cables the bore a stricking resemblance although quite obviously not the same device. I have recently taken out the Kimers and Mark Grant cables in my main sytem for a change and put these cheapo cables in and they have blown me bloomin socks off.
Has anyone heard of these cables? i believe who ever made them was based in London. I have looked on the bay of E and there is no trace. Has anyone bought one or more of these cables? I would be very interested to know if they make speaker cables? I think i may have been the victim of an X-Files situation.:rolleyes:

I have a set of their silver cables - they look really pricey but IIRC they were about thirty quid new. Locking phono connectors which sounds like a good idea until you are changing cables:

'Hmm this connection is in tight. No problem, I'll just kep increasing the amount of force until it comes free .... oh look, the entire phono socket has just ripped out of the back of the amp...'

As a cable believer and as a result of which l have tried most cables known to man l have a set of their copper cables. For £15ish they sound BIG,AIRY and with a big slightly loose bass but a very musical cable never the less.
