Hi

I have one of these :) I think it needs a new belt , It powers up and you can hear the moter running but it does not play / F Forward or F reverse

Any one fitted a new one before ? or know a service department ?

Interesting

Just found this little tip bit

" As the Tokyo Electro-Acoustic Company became more and more popular through the 1950s, the name was simply known as TEAC. " :)

Contacted this company

http://www.sontec.co.uk/teac/

Who want £45 to give me a estimate for fitting a new belt plus carriage both ways ,

If I don't have it repaired the £45 is not refunded

It's not usually very difficult to change the main drive belt.
If there is a bracket holding the capstan flywheel bearing you may have to loosen the holding screws to get the belt off/on.

Have a look and see
