Hi guys,

I need an old design Rega tonearm, the R200. Anybody got a spare after upgrading, let me know please and the price.
Failing that, I'll have an RB250 in need of rewiring but otherwise serviceable.

Please send me a pm.

With regards,
Mike

I'd steer clear of the R200 Mike. They all seem to end up with rotted bias mechanism belts that break and the toothed belts are no longer available. I think I may have actually bought the last one myself.

Hi Mike,
I have an RB200 which has sent it's whole life on a Linn LP12.
I would ask £75 plus postage.

Thanks,

Does that anti-skate bias adjuster still work? Condition of external leads? Older type cables with pale grey fabric sleeve or the dark grey rubber ones? That will decide the price but you are in the right ball-park.

Regards,
Mike

It was made around 1980, it has been little used and has the sought after earlier light grey cable.
The bearing are very good, but as with many of these vintage Rega arms the bias adjuster will need servicing.

It sounds fine, I had plans to replace the cabling with the Incognito cable like one of the hifi mags did a few years ago to make it into a super vintage arm!

See what you think?

All the best,

Paul
