Looking to see if there is any interest in a new sealed techy. I bought this with view in it being a keeper. I was going to pimp this one but I neither have the time nor desire. Baby daughter is taking all my attention currently. I already have a pimped MN, PH, Jelco up and running. Seems a shame me just hoarding and keeping someone from experiencing this wonderful deck. Looking for £1600. Sorry not interested in offers.:eek::eek:

Now I wonder if using Nitrogen to inflate her would improve the experience? :ner:

Hehehe... But it's an exquisite looking box! Hope you get a buyer, Glenn. Sealed MK5Gs must be pretty rare now :)

The best thing about the MK5G (which is what I use and also have modified) is the rather nice glossy piano-black finish, with silver speckles, and the 'sexy' blue LEDs, fitted on the pitch control section, which makes the 'common as muck' MKIIs look rather dull and bland in comparison.

Furthermore, the MK5G has improved tonearm mounting and features better overall vibration damping. It also has high-quality PC-OFC tonearm interconnect cables, fitted with gold-plated RCA plugs, as standard, as opposed to the piece of damp string, fitted with pishanto plugs, which comes as standard with MKIIs :)

Marco.

There is nothing wrong with the MK II sunshine and a "sexy" blue LED can by fitted to any Mk2 very easily. Making it less "dull & bland". :)

Yep !! The MK5G is the looker of the crop IMO. How much did you pay for yours Marco ? I cant believe prices now, paid under £450 for mine new, 4-5 years ago. They will become harder and harder to find sealed and untouched now though.

Indeed, these rather fantastical asking prices bear no relation to performance, £1250 buys a LOT of turntable not least an SP10. Why pay that for 1210? Totally nuts.
