FS: Single Leak TL12+ recently serviced, and Wharfedale Airdale speaker, mono heaven

Slight shift in my mono setup frees up this Leak TL12+. This has been recently serviced with fresh caps and fitment of standard banana-type speaker binding posts.

It has some nice valves in including a Brymar GZ34 rectifier and what was a NOS GEC CV4085 in the EF86 position still looking very fresh. Can't make out the others except for a mysterious 'M' on the ECC81. With power lead.

In bronze in very nice nick, with the logo intact and no rust or flaking paint.

Looking for £315 for this, plus £17 for insured courier.. Pic to follow tomorrow.

Will sell the pair for £400 collected from Reading area, which is a totally outrageous bargain.

Take both and I'll throw in a (stereo) passive preamp with two inputs and a volume control for £35. I was using just one side of this to lovely effect, the Leak works best with a passive in the same way as its stereo counterpart, the Stereo 20, does.

Thanks Paul. Quite a bit of interest but no deal yet ... mono is increasingly of interest to people but less so in the UK it seems than in many other parts.

Interest so far from Singapore, Canada and Austria but no serious enquiries from Brits (apart from one bloke on another forum who though he was getting a pair of these speakers for £100 :lol: )

I would take a nice solid state integrated amp in swap, or an interesting cartridge.

I've been listening to the Wharfedale today and I'm detecting a slight roughness in the lower treble that I didn't hear before. I've checked visually and bass driver is fine but being a total clutz with tools I can't get the upper chamber open to check the mid + treble drivers or crossover, so I'm offering it for £50 collected or FREE with the Leak if collecting.

This speaker is in beautiful condition and barring the slight roughness it sounds fantastic, you can understand why Wharfedale are charging £10k for a modern pair.
