This is the excellent Peachtree Dac iT that does not need much introduction and rarely comes up for sale.
On Stereophile's DAC you have to hear (http://www.stereophile.com/content/peachtree-dac149it-da-converter-page-2) and was rated ahead of its peers.
As you know its more about the implementation of DAC chips than the chip itself. The DAC itself is the ESS Sabre 9023
Purchased from UK dealer just a little under a year ago and paid a fortune to import the excellent TeraDak U9VA linear power supply that was suggested for it in forums. Both unmarked like new condition.
The current UK dealer price for DAC is £499 and the linear power supply cost me £60 to import......
Looking for about £375 posted RoyalMail special delivery or £360 meet in City/East London or I might just keep it
