Due to a new power amp that prefers an active pre, for sale is my Lightspeed mk2 LDR passive attenuator, as supplied by George Stantscheff direct from Australia. This is a single input / single output passive attenuator, and is completely transparent. I have had many passive pre and this has been the best of them all.

More details here. (http://members.optusnet.com.au/~georgehifi/)

Power supply is wall-wart type linear transformer, not a smps.

Condition - pretty decent; a few marks here and there but nothing that really shows. This is a no frills, minimalist component and no expense has been expended on casework (other than at Maplin).

I can also throw in a pair of unused gold plated RCA splitters. More pictures here.

The only real marks are underneath, the specks on top are from the duster! :)

I would like £210 + UK delivery (This unit cost £310 to bring into the UK). Collection is fine from East Sussex (nr Eastbourne).

George Stanscheff was very generous when he published his LDR circuit for the DIY community in order to bring it to a wider audience. I followed the now very long thread in Diyaudio some years ago and made several LDR pre's for myself and others. Once I put one in my system it was never taken out. A very transparent pre and IMO the best I have heard. Good luck with the sale.

Rob.
