Dunno.

I would imagine the MACH 2s would sound - "Faster"!

Bumm! Bumm!

Are they in camouflage finish or green army drab?

Saw a couple of ads for them and the odd pic. They are actually called MAC 1 speakers according to the label on the back. I didn't find out much apart from the EBay pair went for just over a tenner. No pics without grilles, so hard to know much from them.

They date from the 1960s and were very similar (if not identical) to the loudspeakers that originally came with the Rigonda Party Time Calypso record player.

Rigonda actually made some very good loudspeakers (the units that came with the Symphony and Bolshoi radiograms were particularly good) but I've had a pair of these and they were certainly pleasant but a bit woolly, so I'd say a tenner is about right. Fabulous cabinet woodwork, though!

A friend of mine had a Rigonda stereo which had fairly large floor standing speakers, from memory (20 + years ago and they were old then) about 3' x 10" x 10". They sounded not too shabby really.... in fact by "unit audio" and "music centre" type standards they were well ahead of average both in performance and size! They wouldn't have worried a pukka hi fi speaker though ;)
