Own supply to HiVFi and AV kit.

Hi to all the 'tricians amongst you :) .
Apologies if this has been asked before.
I have managed to acquire enough 3 core cable to consider giving the socket used for all the HiFi and AV gear it's own supply. I think the cable is heavy-duty enough as it is described as '3 x 4mm square' (2 as a superscript after the 4mm) and it certainly looks to be :) . I have recently had installed, and certified, a new Consumer Unit as a necessary part of a kitchen refurbishment and this is totally set up with RCDs. Can I ask if it would be possible and permitted under the ever changing regulations to connect this new cable into whatever in the Consumer Unit and connect it to a double 3 pin socket just to feed the HiFi and AV gear?
If so, are there any opinions on whether the expense and minor hassle is likely to be a worthwhile upgrade? I have a Techie SL1210 TT fed by a Paul Hynes PSU, and a purpose built HT PC feeding HiRes files to a pair of Class A monoblocks, all of which is fed from a Belkin PF40 power conditioner and I do not think the incoming mains power is in any way bad or noisy anyway. As I type this I wonder what sort of improvement might be possible :scratch:
Any opinions would be very welcome.

If we're talking about modern PVC covered twin (blue/brown) + earth then it's fine depending on various factors like length of run, think voltage drop etc, and the grief in getting it to the point you want.
I dunno about improvements but if it's the only equipment on that circuit then it might be better. If it was feasible at ours I would certainly lay in a circuit to try it.
Not much help in the 'making the mind up department'....sorry.......
