(( i sorta did know how to do that but.... Don't know if I've been abused or something but I have an odd (received ?) Memory of posting an eBay link somewhere and people being able to log into my eBay lol. Don't know if it was a night terror or something but its left me scared. .... I think I started off at a fair price , given a set of 802's went for £650.00 in the uk recently , and have descended to an extremely fair one.

The lab horn is a pretty solid buy at the same price too.

ok for those experiencing a certain feeling of deja vu , its REAL , they are for sale again :s

.... at a very low price of £200.00 as prior to the agreed sale , final checks revealed that one of the compression driver units was fine but the other had developed a fault ( impedance test showed it was 'open circuit' ) and thus requires a new diaphragm . Im selling them as is , as this will give the buyer the option to choose between obtaining an 8 ohm pattern replacement from sellers in europe ( on ebay for 23.00 euro), making for an economical working set up. Or they could go the route of obtaining units made to the original altec specs by the company that took over the manufacture of parts from them, that being , as most of you will know , great plains audio. Those cost £57.84 each on ebay and would result in a guarantee that the horns operate as new, the way that altec intended and you have receipts to prove their spec and thus their resale value if you keep them a while then move onto other projects.

Its been a painful process dropping the price so far (below the £450.00 i paid) to attract interest so i'm not negotiable any further down i'm afraid. If they don't go then i'll hang on , get matched drivers from great plains then we are looking at £450.00 firm for the pair.
