I'm gaz , asl , 45 , more tea vicar? , Leeds .... I also have an awesome cat called sky who is silly.
Always appreciated the dark art that is high fidelity and as a child of the late 60's went through the usual rights of passage from affordable set ups like a dual cs505 , thorens td160 , acoustic research turntable , nad 3020 , wharfedale diamond mk1 slowly towards the good stuff ending up in my 20's with a nice little flat earther system of linn lp12 , naim 42/110 , epos es14's which I was pretty well cuffed with for a few years then ended up selling to a friend who took it with him to Africa and then Norway so I'm glad it's both well travelled and has a loyal owner.
I'm more into the d.i.y methodology these days and having sold my Sony sacd player a while back so that I could , well , afford to eat things and such ( thank you David Cameron for making sure that after working 20 years straight in Leeds I'm now an unhappy chappy attending job club every two weeks :s ) it's a pc/ dac based front end , naim nait circa 84 and a home brewed speaker setup up based around a karlson k15 cabinet ( shock and indeed horror ? Or Knowing smiles folks ? ) sunn magna compression drivers ( altec 288 clone ) on jabs horns , and altec 604-8h drivers with a not very good made by my crossover ( cue plea for help in a later thread I think )
Loving ear the effortless whisper to a scream dynamics you get with high effeciency set ups and the p.r.a.t effect from naim amps <- almost makes you proud to be British.
Loving what I've seen so far in the forum , fantastic self build stuff going on , Westminster clones etc
The wigwam shows look to have been awesome too and really wish I hadn't missed this years , ...
