Non-Solder RCA Connectors

I've just ordered a set of non-solder RCA sockets from Vintage Audio Lab (VAL) (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Solder-Free-Design-Rhodium-Plated-RCA-Socket-2-Pairs-/281042676125?pt=AU_Electronics_Audio_Amplifiers&hash=item416f72e99d), which claim to be rhodium plate over copper. A screw termination does seem to me to be a good thing, so it will be interesting to hear how these things fair in my putative DIY SUT project.

It's a bit of a toe-in-the-water as far as VAL goes, but Tom (Montesquieu) rates them highly, so I shall probably be looking carefully at some of their other stuff.

Hi Hugo,

I've recently fitted these to my Sony DAC, with great success. They're absolutely superb quality (as good as the Furutech ones, IMO, which I also use, fitted to my Copper amp) and offer excellent sonic performance.

Trust me, you've grabbed a real bargain! :)

Thanks Marco - that's good to know. I'm planning to keep my SUT project as solder-free as possible.
