Hi All,
I've been burnt in the past by trying to use unsuitable cable for a tonearm internal rewire, it ended up affecting the arms ability to track as the wire was making the tonearm less willing to turn on its pivot.
So the question is 'how thick is too thick?'
The standard Cardas internal tonearm wire gauge is 33 awg, which I have used in the past, and its good stuff. The reason I ask the question however is I have some mogami cable at home which is 26 awg and I am wondering is this just a step too far.

Anybody had experience of attempting an internal tonearm rewire with anything thicker than the 33 awg cable and if so how thick did you go? I will probably end up buying the usual cardas 4x33 cable, but I think its an interesting question.
