Hi All,

I enjoy making Valve Amps as a hobby but can obviously only listen to one at a time!
My friends don't seem to be 'into' Hi-Fi so have resisted my efforts to offload some of my 'spares' on to them and so I wondered if anyone on here would be interested in them. I am starting to develop a new Amp so I need the cash!

The first is a Stereo Integrated Push-Pull Ultra-Linear type using two EL34's and an ECC83 as the initial Pre-Amp and Phase Splitter.

There is another 'Black Box' twice the height of the Amp box which houses the Power Supply. The two are connected by an 'Umbilical' Lead.
It requires approximately 750mV-1V rms to drive it into distortion and develops approximately 8-10Watts into 8 OHMs. The output is limited to an 8 OHM output only.
It employs no Negative Feedback.
It will come supplied with 'Edichron' Valves.
It has no cover so small children beware!
I would like £300 for this one.

The second is basically a Stereo Mullard 3-3

There's not much more I can say about this if you have read the 'Valve Museum's' article in the link provided.
Again roughly CD Line Level output will drive it into distortion.
It only develops approximately 3 Watts (hence the name 3-3 (3 Valves/per channel, 3 Watts)) so needs to be partnered with some fairly sensitive speakers to get the best from it.
I have installed used Mullard Valves throughout in this Amp.
Again it has no cover.
I would like £200 for this one.

I am happy to 'cover' any labour costs for the Amp's (and my!) lifetime should they develop a fault.

Do understand these are 'Home Made' and so do not come with a 'Kite Mark'! I have built these very carefully and all have Earthed Casework. They have at various stages been used as my main listening Amps and no problems have been observed.

I live in Oxfordshire and welcome anyone to come and have a listen.
I would prefer collection due to thier weight but will post if necessary.

Best wishes,

James.

Indeed, and a bargain at the prices.
