Hi All,

I have a Pioneer PD-F1007 300 CD autochanger that I have no use for, having moved over to the FLAC side. ;)

Free to a good home, collection from Chester would be preferred but I could post if required but it's huge and quite heavy and so post might be expensive.

It's in good condition, hardly used really. I'm not sure I'd be able to locate the remote though...it's a little more remote than ideal.

ps. I also have a Phillips DVD 963SA DVD player (which plays Superaudio CDs) and a Marantz DD-82 DCC deck. (which has a good ADC/DAC built in) plus a Technics ST-G70 Tuner. I'm having a big clearout! :lol:

@Audio Al:

Some google searches:

This was Phillips' attempt to replace the audio cassette with a digital version. The player would play normal audio cassettes but also the fancy multitrack digital ones.

The format died a death very quickly. I bought this when they were offloading them in the mid 90's because it's ADC and DAC are good quality. The word on the street at the time is that they implemented a very good DAC and ADC, over-engineered it, as this and the super dooper DD-92 gold model would turn heads. I bought a boxful of DCC tapes and used it for some time before moving on to DAT. The sound was very good but like DAT searching for tracks is always a little slow and clunky.

It's built like a brick convenience.

@dantheman91:

I really don't know I'm sorry. I haven't made any such enquiries as yet. I'm sure that there must be courier companies who collect and are cheaper than Royal Mail. I'm open to advice and suggestions. :)

Hi Ali,

Good to hear from you! I'm not doing so badly thanks, apart from shoulder operation this coming Monday. :eyebrows:

I don't think I'll make Owston this time. :( I'd love to go but I'm not sure I'm going to be fit to drive following the operation and I don't have any booking for overnight stay.

How're things with you?

Cheers,
Tony

Yeah pretty good thanks, now working for myself,so a bit of a change after 20+ years of working for other folk. Hope the op goes ok, my brother had his shoulder done a couple of months ago, he's doing good now though.

Gone to FLAC eh? What you using as a streamer?
