View Full Version : So what were the turntables Tony Stark (Ironman) used?
Saw "Ironman 3" a few days ago and for a movie made from a cartoon strip it wasn't bad. Impressed that there were two turntables featured (briefly) during the movie and in the short time they were on screen I couldn't identify them. Okay analogue geeks, anyone know what they are and the tonearms fitted?
Curiously the same evening I was watching Elementary and McIntosh electronics were featured, including a nice closeup of a faceplate proclaiming "McIntosh tube preamplifier". I like seeing serious hifi featured in the main media, proves to my wife I'm not the only hifi tragic out there.

I thought a 1210 with a Graham tonearm, but it was quickly blown to pieces, we'd better wait for the DVD……….

Every time a turntable appears on a TV program or film that Mrs. B and I are watching, she pauses it and turns to me to await identification!
Haven't seen Iron Man 3 yet, so can't help you on that one, sorry!

Cool!
I thought the tonearm looked more exotic than that. It was only a quick look though.
