My name is Michael. I was born in England but have lived in Toronto, Canada long enough to call it home. I work in music as a consultant and artist manager and I love great sound. I have a couple of systems. McIntosh MA 700 integrated amp, Martin Logan Spire speakers, EMM Labs Transport and DAC and Graham Slee Phone Amp plus Project TT and Roksan Radius 5 TT.
Other system is currently Moscode 600 amp, Mystere Pre, Mirage M5si speakers and Xindak CD player and DAC 8. The Moscode and Mystere recently replaced an Arcam P1000 and Pre.
I am thinking about replacing the Nima tonearm on the Roksan.

I hail from the cartridge, then arm, then deck era of audio retail (now out, but was in the industry for over thirty years) and my experience of the Nima is really that I'd look for a better deck to put the Nima on, rather than the other way round, not that there's anything particularly wrong with the Radius deck as it is :) Loads of nice, substantial string/cord driven confections out there from numerous manufacturers that the Nima would be right at home on and where it would open up the bass region to advantage, as well as a mine of information here on the ubiquitous Techie 1200 series and how to get the very best out of them - the Nima is said to work well on the Technics deck.
