I think you've probably got most of my all-time favourites there. All that's missing is a Miura, preferably in orange and a FIAT 124 AC coupe (never liked the spider quite as much).

That is just the epitome of cool, and pure sex on wheels!!

I've always had a special place in my heart for Alfas, as they are quintessentially Italian and real drivers cars :)

How it all comes back:(

In a previous existence, I had a georgian mansion with in mews garage which contained seven Alfas.

My favourite of all was the little 1300cc Junior, fantastic handling and, if screwed up to godzillions of revs, quite nippy.

After I lost it all, I bought an Alfa Sud for £500 (max allowed under bankruptcy laws) and travelled all over Europe in it. Fantastic little car. It took until I got a Peugeot 309 GTi to beat the way that handled.

No Zagoto bodies anywhere, they did some bootiful body works in the 60's.. The Aston Martion DB4GT Zagato, Maserati A6G Zagato, Fiat 8V Elaborata to name avfew were absolutly fantastic looking cars..

Here's my old Italian car. I've had it for getting on for 30 years although I haven't done much with it recently. It was originally silver but it needs painting again now - so maybe silver again?

Funny what time does. When the 308GT4 first came out, I thought it was an absolute travesty after the gorgeous, sexy and delicate 246. Dull, frumpy and just plain boring. But now, well that looks really cool. And considering that nowadays you could but ten (if you could find them) for the price of one 246 and each one has two more cylinders.....

Absolutely, the shape has grown with the years. It looks great in blue, silver is so last week. Its everywhere, why be common if you have a car like that.

Trouble is, you need 65k for that, and it's a replica, though it's an original body rebuilt from the ground up, with modern additions. An original GTA will set you back around 100k!

Frankly, who cares. If it looks the same, goes the same (or better) it is the same, just cheaper. I would not refuse it should it be offered:)

I used to have the real thing and a great car it was. Always regretted leaving it in Italy when I came home, should have driven it back and kept it. Only a young man would be that stupid - I hope.
