Seriously, my Garrard Zero 100 doesn't like the higher compliance magnetics I have and the Rega R100 is a bit too tall. What I'd like to fit to this deck is something a little "lower" and livelier in balance and with 1.75 - 2g tracking. The above Ortofons should fit the bill perfectly I think and look far better with the arm than the OM series. Sadly, I gave away my last complete VMS5e and the VMS30 I have isn't suitable for this deck. I'm too much of a penny-pincher to buy a new stylus as proper Ortofon-made replacements cost as much as the deck did and since this is a fun project, I really don't want to spend much.
Have any of you chaps got one of these, stylus preferably since I have bodies, I could have for a modest sum? I know, I should practise what I preach and fit the Rega Carbon, but I thought I'd ask here first :)
