Time to confess :)

Last week I was a happy 1200 SL MK 11 owner , no intention of changing the TT

Then I noticed a rather nice modified 1210 for sale owned by julesd68
Time step PSU / Mike new bearing / couple of mats included / special feet etc
Not wanting 2 1210's

I pm'd asking if a P/X was possible ?

Unfortunately a straight cash sale was required :(

Then I noticed a Wanted add for a std 1200 or 1210 :eyebrows:

A Deal was done , Sell the std 1200 and but the 1210 :)

I had already acquired a Origin Live arm board and a Origin Live Encounter MK3c both second hand

So today I decided to fit the arm

The 2010 was dismantled

Looking good. Out of interest - how long did it take you to install the arm?

That combination should work quite well but I would try an Origin Live PSU if opportunity presents itself, as I feel it will work better in the context of an Origin Live arm than a TS HE.

Arm looks sweet on the Techie :) Thing is, with an arm of this quality onboard and an external psu + Mike New bearing, upgrading the ringy stock platter will be the icing on the cake. You'll remove another layer of coloration drawing you further to that natural sound and genuine individuality of each recording which will blow your socks off - addictive vinyl nirvana trust me, one of the best moves I ever made. The Funk and Mike New ETP both also look a lot better / audiophile IMHO. They'll suit that stonker of an arm of yours a treat :D

On another note, How easy is vta adjust with the Origin Live ? I'm curious as set up and vta adjust as part of that are vital in my experience. A great arm / deck / system will only sound as good as how well it's been set up. Get it right and it's musical orgasms a plenty  - I've learned and know. My modded Techie has been a revelation in terms of vinyl music pleasure ;)

The VTA is set like the original 1200 1210 , it has a rotating collar to lift or lower the arm ;)

Not fired it up yet so fingers crossed :D
