I see they had to cancel a stage of the Giro d'Italia due to snow and wind chill of -20C. This was in the Dolomites though. At least they'll get a summer when it clears.

Climate change is affecting the whole globe. I was watching some news clips from my part of the world over the weekend. Rain fell a few weeks ago and has not yet subsided in many parts of the country. People were complaining of big snakes and caymans trying to seek refuge in their houses :eek:.

Constant rain and its cold cold cold. Nearly the end of May and we are still using the electric blanket!!:eek:

Should be a good year for the fruit though, no late frosts and the trees are bulging. That is, of course, if the sun does ever decide to shine. If it does the grape harvest could be decent too. Maybe 2013 will be a vintage to remember.

Maybe that will help forget the way the world is going. Our generation will be fine but lets hope the future is not as bleak as it seems right now.
