For sale is my Marantz CD63 MkII KI. Since I bought my first Squeezebox product it's been sitting in the loft. Since it's not being used I thought I'd sell it on to free up some funds for other things. :eyebrows:

Included is the remote and all original packaging. Sorry, I don't have the original manual and certificate. I thought I did but I can't find them.

I'm the second owner and it is in perfect working order. It's also in very good condition cosmetically. I have had it playing in my bedroom system for the last week and it hasn't missed a beat. I was actually surprised at how good it sounded!

Having a sturdy platter mechanism it can also be used as a transport for an external DAC, having both toslink and coaxial digital outputs.

I'm asking £130 plus postage for this.

I recently acquired the non KI version from a pal, bloody love this player.... I've stripped and cleaned the transport and fitted a Black Rhodium mains cable. Since i put it in my system the CDs which normally live in the cupboard have been gradually taking over the living room! I can only image the KI version performs better still with the extra bracing and tweaks, I'd agree its a good transport but I like the sound of mine on its own as a bit of a change from the Rega DAC.

They are a doddle to work on too for simple maintenance.

A 63/II was the last CD spinner I owned before going to Squeezebox players too. Fond memories of it - good sounding, well built and good looking (IMO). Good luck with the sale . .

I only replaced mine with another KI after I wore it out - lasted me 12 years and who knows how many thousands of hours - I love these, and well worth the money if your pondering... :)

Loads of beneficial mods on Acoustica, since the original is a bit jitter prone. I believe mechs are still available too. Have a look at the clock first is my suggestion.

The KI version of this player is a lively thing, but I remember the early pre KI model being quite sweet and self effacing. The later 66 OSE was somewhere in between IIRC

Well worth a punt at the price offered - box too :) At least the mechs can still be got 15 years on unless I'm very much mistaken!

Lovely CD player IMO, sounds great and things like the display light dimmer and volume control are just great little touches. If I didn't already have one in my system, at £130 in this condition, this would be mine trust me on that. Check Google and drown in positive reviews. Remember this retailed at £500 ! ;)
