Chord Signature Speaker cable 5m stereo pair
(2 pairs of cables one for left and one for right speaker, factory terminated with Chord 4mm banana plugs) the all black(wife friendly) version They look brand new £700 inc p&p to non rural mainland UK (RRP £1600)

These are in perfect working and cosmetic condition
When I bought these I tried the Chord Rumour Odyssey and Naca5. Then I tried the Signature and it was a WHOA moment. There was a huge improvement and got more of everything. It was like standing outside the room when the music was being played in with the lesser cables and opening the doors and walking in with the Signatures
I am reconfiguring my room since I got new speakers and bi-wiring hence the sale
On inspection of the cable I was a little surprised that one of the springs on the plugs was depressed. Rather than fiddling with it I sent it back to Chord for them to replace it under warranty. So you have the additional reassurance it has been serviced by Chord and they have re terminalised all the plugs so they all match (May 2013,receipt enclosed) What fantastic service from Chord

Fitting Chord Signature to almost any hi-fi or home cinema system can be a revelation. The reduction in perceived noise and the utter silence between notes can make even well loved pieces of music seem fresh and new. Levels of detail and timbre are astonishing and give huge insights into the technique and intent of musicians.
The heavy gauge conductors make for an extremely low resistance cable and this, combined with the insulation and high frequency effective shield produces a cable capable of carrying outstanding levels of detail and dynamic information.
The conductors are produced from a high purity copper and the insulation material is a gas-foamed polyethylene. The shield is an extremely effective dual layer foil/high density braid design.
Each set of Signature speaker cable is produced to order and although the conductor pairs are separately shielded, the cable is twisted along its length in order to improve flexibility. Each end of the cable is secured with an aluminiumclamp designed to hold the cable securely but not to compress the conductors.
Signature speaker cable makes listening to music totally involving and almost addictive.

Diameter: 2 x 12mm.
Colour: Red/black or all black.
Terminations: Chord 24 karat gold-plated banana plugs, direct gold-plated copper spade connectors and BFA Camcon connectors. Because of the complexity of construction, Signature speaker cable is only available in factory-terminated lengths.
Each set of Signature speaker cable is produced to order and although the conductor pairs are separately shielded, the cable is twisted along its length in order to improve flexibility. Each end of the cable is secured with an aluminium clamp, designed to hold the cable securely but not to compress the conductors. Experiments showed that compressing the shield and insulation on either speaker or interconnect cables altered the characteristics of the cable and subtly degraded performance.
Use it with
The assumption would be that you would need a high end system to justify using Signature speaker cable; it ain’t necessarily so. Signature will work consistently well from system to system, and to some extent regardless of cost. One of the most compelling demonstrations of what a set of effectively shielded interconnects and speaker cable can bring to a system happened when the Signature speaker cable was used in a system where the cost of the interconnects and speaker cables was the same as the combined cost of the CD player, amplifier and speakers.
The system was initially fitted with interconnects and speaker cable whose combined cost amounted to about 20% of the system value. Fitting the Signet interconnects and Signature speaker cable transformed the sound of the system in every aspect. What made this such an interesting demonstration was the fact that if you took the overall cost of the system and the cables and spent it on higher quality components and a lesser set of cables, it was not possible to recreate the performance of the cheaper system fitted with the Signature cables.
