I was about to give up on vinyl altogether and concentrate on cds but I thought I would have one last go at the AT95 HE and Technics SL 1200mk2 so i re aligned it for about the tenth flippin time and this time set the tracking force to 1.75 and the bias to 1.5, played some records and bingo! It now plays cleanly to the very end and seems to sound fuller with tighter bass. If that makes sense? Anyway a great improvement. Kind regards Rich.

The AT95HE is a little gem, I used to own one and it punched well above its weight. I regret letting it go when I sold the Thorens TD316/Linn LVX+ combo it was attached to.

Yes it is when set up properly. The data sheet I got from the vendor said to track between 1g and 1.5g but having researched it I have found out that it should be between 1.5g an 2.5g with 2g being nominal. I now have it set at 2g and 1.5bias and its great. I'm not good at describing sound in expert HI_FI buff terms but now its like it has a proper grip on the music. I'm well pleased with it now.:D
