Like so many here I have a collection of the black stuff.

I recently listed my collection on Discogs and was surprised to learn that my top priced records were not what I expected...!

1. Queen box set
2. Oasis - whats the story...
3. Alanis Morrisett - jagged little pill
4. Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon collie... box set
5. Cranberries - everyone is doing it...

Apart from the Queen box set (QB1) I would have never guessed that the others would figure so largely?

In no particular order -

1. Paul McCartney - unplugged
2. All my Frank Zappa records...:)
3. My early Queen records (after A night at the Opera they lost it imho)
4. Nick Drake - Box sets
5. Smile - Gettin' smile

I'm rather pleased to own the John Lennon Singles Bag from Record Store Day 2010, an American issue.

Never thought i had any valuable stuff till i had PM conversation with a Wammer selling a Avalone SACD,
found i've got a handful thats worth a few quid, nothing mega mind.

Emmy Lou Harris - Wrecking Ball.(£8.99 when released from Missing records, sticker still on)
Donald Fagen - Kamakiriad (vinyl and gold c.d.)
Pink Floyd - 'Pulse' Boxset and 'the division bell'
Kate Bush - the red shoes

thats it, apart from all the 1st issue Carol Kidd records released by Linn which fetch 20-30 quid, the rest is tat.

One of my prize possesions: King Crimson 'In The Court Of The Crimson King' Japanese HQCD Card Sleeve edition set. Pretty much for collecting sake as i never listern to it. I think my next fav prize possesion will be the Hawkwind 'Warrior on The Edge Of Time' De-Luxe set when it arrives, however if it does become available in Japan i'll be buying that edition, selling the UK edition on.

I have a few really nice things:

My AC/DC - Backtracks box set:

1LP, 3CDs and 2DVDs and various other bits and bobs all housed in a functioning amplifier

lovely!

I have a pretty rare NOFX box set that contains every album on green vinyl, and it really is a lovely thing to behold:

I also have a collection of NOFX 12x 7" singles.
They are all on different coloured vinyl, their back covers all form a picture and the messages on the runout grooves of all 12 records are each one line of a long joke!
I think it's worth a few quid!

Yeah, I'd go along with that, apart from ELP. I've actually got Tarkus and regard it as very contrived.

I'd bung Lennon, Bowie, Zappa, Beefheart and CSNY in too.
