I have a Pioneer SA-500A amp and need to locate some ( 4 ) speaker plugs looks like they need to be a T shape plug by the fitting on the back of the amp

They are occasionally available in the UK Al, but they are never cheap!
I've been half heartedly looking for just one for about 6 years now - too tight to buy some at the going rate though.
See this thread here (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?t=3200&highlight=pioneer) matey.

My solution is to use auto crimp connectors folded in half (along their length) with a pair of pliers. Just grip the blade along its edges and squeeze like buggery & they 'snap' into shape. The ribs on the sides mean they fold into an offset angle, but they work fine and are a nice snug fit. I actually filed the blades down a little and tinned mine with solder to finish them off. Just crimp and/or solder your cable of choice on the open end.

These are the sort of thing I use:

No Bev, they're 2-way connectors that Al's looking for:

Would it not be easier to remove the sockets and plate and then mount a piece of Paxolin board with four 4mm banana sockets fitted. That's what I'd do. Usability comes before originality in my book.

I suppose it depends whether it is important to Al to keep the unit in original condition ;)

Well, I suppose it must be an early one and possibly worth keeping original. All the SA-500A's that I've had wore bare wire screw terminals. They used to be regular boot sale fodder for me, along with Trio KA-1000's and Sansui AU-101's.
