This is another one of those sales I wish I didn't have to make but when needs must . . . .
My treasured Eastsound E5 CD player is also up for grabs :(
This is the original version without the later fancier outer casework.

No flimsy lightweight machine this and it comes with a lovely solid aluminium remote control for all you lard-arses like me :eyebrows:
A picture of what's inside:

The one annoying feature of this machine is a combined STOP/ELECT button on the fascia which takes luck and a few prods to open the drawer but it is rather fortunate that the remote has a dedicated EJECT button which works perfectly.
The good news is it has a superb sound that never fatigues. Not quite up to Ayre of Esoteric standards but not far off and never aspired to either. I have loved it and sure the new owner will too. It plays perfectly but is fussy about disc cleanliness. Been like it from day 1 and not got any worse and the Philips VAM 1202/12 is abundantly available with online help to bang a new one in http://pages.videotron.com/mikedf/ I don't think that an imminent problem though.
What is it worth? Donald Duck'd if I know. I will start at £275.00 plus £15 postage and see what happens
