This mornin' i started a certain vintage japanese TT rebuild, ive learned that any vintage gear i buy needs a complete rebuild to aid years of reliability & obviously things like wire & components, solder etc degrade over the years..

So here goes: Pick-Up arm, stripped cleaned, dab of oil on the bearings not that they needed it.. rewired with Ag plated copper internal wire. Just needs an interconnect cable (Van Damme 'XKE' Ag plated OFC, Pseudo balanced configuration & a set of cartridge leads (same as internal wire/J.A.Michell Ag plated tags)..

Looks like a decent arm Andr'e. Nice weight & cord bias, none of your belt adjusted nonsense! I just put a new belt in my Rega R200, a pain in the backside.

Hi Geoff, where did you get a belt for the R200?

I don't think you can get them now. Mine was one of the last sold on eBay.

I'm thinking over some ideas for an alternative means of operation.
