Any suggestions on a good Portable AM radio???

I'm off to the IOM TT at the end of the month and I'll need one to keep up with all that's going on. I think half the island is ok with FM but there will be days I need AM. I'd rather not find out how bad my potential purchase is when I need it!!!!! :D

Should also say I need to be able to carry it on my bike and it must run off batts.

I have been using one of THESE (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sony-XDR-S55-DAB-AM-FM-Radio-/181134139047?pt=UK_AudioVisualElectronics_Portable Audio_Radios&hash=item2a2c6f9ea7)when I go angling. I run it off four Lithium AA cells. Good reception on AM

A couple of comments on ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/ctg/Sony-XDR-S55-DAB-AM-FM-Radio-/66636151/r.html?_fcls=1&_s=2005) from owners of one

Cheers guys.......I'd forgotten that I've got an old Hacker and a Roberts Doh!!! I'll try those before I make a purchase. ;)

Been after doing the TT for years............ If you don't know what it's about or even if you do.......
(If you've not seen this Alex, you need to reserve 18 mins to watch it!!!)

I went 3 times in the early 80's. Watching Joey Dunlop winning and getting rat arsed on Manx ale was a great feeling.

Mad Sunday was also great fun...!!!

Not likely, 3am (all that was available a year in advance) ferry, 2 weeks worth of shit to take plus 2 bikes in my car and 3 in my mates van.
anyway, I can't ride 2 bikes at the same time ;)

The car won't be used once we get to the house.

I think the fun part will be riding while we are there.........I'm failing to see the fun in riding 200 miles in the dark on the motorway just to get to the ferry!!!!!
