I've got a pair of boxed, excellent condition, gloss yellow Rega RS5 Mk.ii speakers for sale, they're like Marmite, you either love the look of them or you hate them :) SWMBO loved them, till we decorated, now they don't match the rest of the room, so they have to go.
£499 not including P+P, I'm guessing P+P would be about £35 if you desperately need them posting, but I'd prefer you pick them up from me in Warrington.

Great price, these come in at a Grand new.
Have a set of their baby brothers, sound awesome.
good luck with the sale.
Yep, seconded what gaz says. My RS3s found a bunch of new admirers at the last bake off. These will sound great even if they have looks a true Rega fanatic would struggle to love. I respect Rega for putting these out in bold colours, they are certainly eye catching but sadly not my cuppa. Cherrywood or black for me everytime.

If you are happy with the sound quality why not get them vinyl wrapped to a colour of the wife's choice ?

No way, it's about the first time I've been told to upgrade my equipment, usually it's 'how much did that cost?' followed by the usual tutting ;)

Yep, having heard Gary's, these are very good speakers, just get better as the rest of the kit does.

Bump.
I wonder if Rega could re-case these for a fee? Might be worth asking if the yellow puts some people off. If the drivers/crossovers can be properly masked off or removed and the holes plugged, a respray at a good local car body-shop could be done I think, if plenty of coats could be done...
Just a thought like, should the yellow be an issue - the speakers certainly aren't if you're careful with matching gear :)

Oh man, you haven't sold these yet?
Has to be the colour...it's fabulous imo but maybe a bit marmite for some.
I have the Rega RS3s and they are SUPERB speakers, have stepped up the the plate with many upgrades my system has undergone over the last couple of years.
They just dont hold back how good your system can be.
I'd buy em but:
1) don't have the money
2) already have a set of Rega speakers.
Buy you fools, don't be put off by the colour!

Your local car respray house could do them Piano Black for not a lot of cash?
Rub them down and prime them yourself to save on the cost.
Note: ...will encourage an abnormal but personally satisfying relationship with your speakers, all for about £600 less than retail price. :)
Sound quality wise its all your probably going to need, if the RS3's are anything to go by.
My memories of these are of an RS3, but magnified, if you see what I mean :)

Thanks for the thumbs ups, it's a shame no-ones interested, they're great speakers.
I'm always up for swaps, if anyone has anything decent to offer.
I have Pass F2 DIY clone 5 Watt pure class A amp that I could swap. A real monster of an amp (a hernia inducing lift - but fits on standard racks) built with absolutely top notch parts (Dale resistors, Panasonic rectifier caps, Auricaps and boards sourced from Peter Daniels on Diyaudio. 500va transformer from Canterbury Windings.

If you asked me that a couple of weeks ago, i might have, but i'm happy with my new amps, thanks for the offer though.
