Hi everyone. I have just aquired an Ortofon Concord and i want to try it with a decent stylus. Anyone know anything about Jico styli? I emailed them to ask about their styli and how they compare to originals and they told me theirs were completely their own design and rather different. I would like to try it with an om30 or 40 but i just cant afford them. The Jico styli are very reasonably priced though. Kind regards Richard.

My only experience is with the Jico SAS stylus which went into my Shure V15 type 4.
Very detailed reproduction and I'll be putting one into my type5.

Ortofon still make their own styli for these and despite being expensive, they ARE very good from the 20 upwards in my experience. Why use a pattern stylus if you don't need to?

Unless buying an upgraded specialist design, I personally would buy manufacturer's original styli. Ortofon quality is second to none.

thanks guys. Just want to say, the reason i look to cheaper options is because i am disabled and living on benefits. I would love to feed my passion more richly but just can't afford to. I like experimenting with my tts but have to make do with cheaper options in so doing. Kind regards Richard.
