These speakers are just amazing! I purchased them originally to have refurbished and resell but when I set them up at home I fell in love with them and have been enjoying nights of bliss listening to them.
Unfortunately my room is just a little too small for these plus I am letting my heart rule my head in thinking I can keep them. Therefore they are now back up for sale.
Cabinets have been restored by a professional restorer and they are now finished with a soft shine but with a much tougher finish (restorer told me that the original finish used by ProAc was not great and if you put anything on top of them it would mark them. He said they have a much harder wearing finish now), this cost me £160.
I replaced the original (cheap) binding posts and have fitted brand new rhodium 3 way binding posts (will accept bare wire, spade and banana plugs). I have also fitted brand new heavy duty floor spikes too.
Tweeters are original but all four mid-bass drivers have been replaced with original ProAc spec. Scan-Speak drivers, this is a £800 value alone!
I had these up for sale at £900 with offers before but would be happy with £800 (will consider very close offers).
Grills have been carefully steam cleaned and look great, all fixings are intact too.
I have the original boxes so can be shipped but would not recommend it as I don't think the boxes will provide adequate protection during shipment (weakened with age). My brother-in-law runs a courier business so we could arrange something via him.
These are very heavy weighing in at 33kg each, each speaker is mass loaded.
Will be sorry to see these go but I really hope that someone else can enjoy them.
