Carry On is an 8LP box se, featuring a whopping 82 tracks from the 50-year career of multi instrumentalist Stephen Stills. The box contains famous hits like “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes” and “Love The One You’re With”, plus an exhaustive selection of live recordings and 25 (!) previously unreleased tracks. For instance, the demo of “Forty-Nine Reasons”, which turned out to become “49 Bye Byes” of the 1970 album Crosby, Stills and Nash. To top things off, the audio has been remastered to full effect! The box further contains a booklet with never before seen photographs and liner notes.
Stills worked together with too many people to mention. This box set contains noteworthy collaborations with Jimi Hendrix (“Old Times Good Times”, “No Name Jam”), Buddy Miles (“Special Care”), Eric Clapton (“Fishes And Scorpions”), Ringo Starr (“To A Flame”), Booker T. Jones & The Memphis Horns (“Cherokee”), Herbie Hancock (“Spanish Sweet”), Jimmy Page (“50/50”) and of course his band buddies in CSNY.
